Team 1 wb 19.10.20

Date: 23rd Oct 2020 @ 4:21pm

Team 1 have really enjoyed their independent learning this week. We made our own space books using facts from non-fiction books and our class text. We also made a lot of mess in our outdoor area making pumpkin pies in the mud kitchen before writing our own recipe. In the DT workshop we made Halloween cards by cutting apples in half, printing with them, and writing a card insert. The children also worked independently on their number bonds to ten by building ‘Numicon City’, and recording their number bonds on part-part-whole models.

In English, we have been writing sentences about space after becoming space detectives. We are trying hard to remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Mouse Mania today involved some super spooky games organised by Miss Thomas. The children had a great time on their last afternoon of the half term.

We were very pleased that 3 of our class won prizes for their pumpkin designs! Well done to AH, ES and WH, and to all the children who worked so hard to make a pumpkin for the display, we loved them all!

Have a super half term break, and please continue to read with (and to) your child, it is such an important and enjoyable activity and will help them hugely with their learning next half term.

If you have any questions over the half term break, I will be accessing emails so please feel free to send me a message on the email address below.

Take care, Team 1! See you in November.

Mrs Weeks and Miss Thomas
