Team 1 - W/B - 20.11.23

It is getting rather Christmassy in Team 1!

We have had a lovely week in Team 1 and the children have been wonderful.

In maths, we have moved onto subtraction. We started this unit by looking at how to cross out to subtract. We also learnt the different words that we can use for take away, such as subtract and minus.

In English, we created our Team 1, presentation charter. This is to ensure that our books will look the best that they can be. We also began to innovate our story about Katie. Our new version will have a Christmas theme!

In Geography, we looked at which countries made up Great Britain. We then set the children a challenge of creating the countries from playdough. Everyone worked hard on this and after our first attempts, we used atlases and maps to improve our playdough maps.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our open afternoon. The children were delighted to share their learning with their grown-ups. Also thank you for everyone’s time this week for parents evening. It was a pleasure to meet you and share news of the positive progress all our children are making.
