Team 1 WB 22.5.23
Date: 26th May 2023 @ 2:22pm
We have loved our final week of Summer 1 in Team 1! This week we have been learning about multiplication in maths by making equal groups and equal arrays (rows). We have needed to use our knowledge of counting in tens to help us. We were also introduced to counting in fives and twos.
In English, we have been writing letters using the suffixes –ing and –ed, and the prefix un-. We have used lots of descriptive language too, thinking of some great adjectives to describe aliens.
In history, we discovered how Chester Zoo has changed since the 1930s by building models of the zoo back then and today.
In PE we completed our unit on passing and receiving balls with our hands using accuracy.
It has been a lovely sunny week, and our marigolds in the polytunnel are absolutely thriving. The plants are growing taller and becoming bushier. We can’t wait to see some flowers growing eventually.
In art, we have been exploring printing using our fingers and blocks. We used both warm and cold colours from the colour wheel in our artwork.
Have a wonderful rest over the half term break, and remember to choose a poem to practice for the poetry recital after half term.
