Team 1 - WB 30.10.23

What a fabulous week in Team 1.

Team 1 have had a very busy first week back and they have been an absolute joy!

We started the week by introducing our new English text 'Katie in London' as the children received a postcard from the main character, who told us a little about her visit. We then wrote back to Katie to tell her about where we lived and what we could do there. We then made some fantastic predictions using the front cover and the blurb. 

In maths, we have been working on completing addition questions by counting on. We have looked at how number lines can help us and also revisited part whole models. 

The children have blown adults away with their sound knowledge in Ready, Steady, Read and we have listened to some beautiful readers. 

During our afternoon learning, we looked at the significance of symbols in Christianity and then the children created their own depicting things that are important to them.
