Team 1 WB 31.10.22

This week in Team 1 we have had a lovely, busy time. We loved seeing the children after half term and hearing about their Halloween fun! The Halloween disco was a great evening, thank you to everyone who was able to show up and boogie the evening away.

In English this week, we have begun to re-write the story of Lost and Found with our main character finding a different animal at his door. The children have been showing us their great writing skills, using their phonics knowledge, finger spaces, capital letters and full stops.

In Maths, we have begun learning about addition within 10, and how to write addition equations using the plus/add symbol +.

In geography, we sketched our own maps of the route we walked from school to the park before half term. We also made a key for our map to show the human and physical features we saw on the way.

On Friday we enjoyed some Mouse Mania time making firework art using paint or chalk on black paper. We also learned about bonfire night and Guy Fawkes. We discussed how to stay safe on bonfire night.
