Team 1 - W/b 3.1.24

Welcome to 2024, from all at Team 1!

We have had a fabulous week in Team 1 and the staff have loved hearing all the exciting news from everyone about their Christmas and New Year.

We have had a very productive week!

We have started our new text in English ‘Grandpa’s Gift’ The children have written about their favourite things that they shared on Wednesday and we have started looking at questions and punctuating these with question marks.

In maths, we have been completing our work on subtraction and we have also been learning to find the ‘hidden 5’ in the numbers 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 to help us add and subtract quicker.

Also this week, we have started our animals including humans unit in science where the children were challenged to draw or name as many animals as they could. They were phenomenal and named all sorts of animals from anteaters to llamas to zebras.
