We have had a wonderful week in Team 1. The highlight of our week was the nativity performances on Monday. The children were absolutely amazing, and as staff we are so proud of how well they sang, acted, and remembered their actions. We felt so lucky that we were able to put on a proper show for our families. Thank you so much for your support. What a bunch of superstars!
This week in English we have been writing about the mischief our class elf has been up to. He managed to get himself stuck in our roof, and we wrote down our ideas for rescuing him. It clearly worked, as the next morning he was making a snow angel in some glitter. We also wrote letters to Santa using some new tricky words, and finished off the writing for our Christmas books.
In RE, we learned about Christianity and the Christmas story by acting out the story. We recognised this story from our nativity performance.
We loved visiting Team 3 and 4’s Christmas market. We were very impressed by the handmade goodies on offer, and enjoyed spending some pennies and taking home some treats.
On Friday, we had our Christmas Fair in the afternoon. The children tried to guess the name of the reindeer and the number of sweets in the jar. We also tried to stick the nose on Rudolph, and had a very important visitor: Santa!
Have a super weekend, Team 1. We can’t wait for our last week of Christmas fun.
Mrs Weeks, Mrs Butters and Miss Evans.
