Team 1 wb 7.12.20

Date: 11th Dec 2020 @ 4:00pm

We have had a busy week in Team 1 making a start on our Christmas books to bring home. It is all a secret for now, but the children will be bringing their books home on Thursday next week and we hope you will love them. The children have worked so hard on their writing and artwork!

In their independent learning time this week, the children have been solving addition calculations and writing the full number sentences in their independent learning journals. They have also been fixing some sentences which have incorrect capital letters, and re-writing the correct sentences into their journals. We have also been strengthening our fingers by making paper snowflakes. This helps the children's fine motor skills and ability to use scissors, which in turn helps their writing.

For Mouse Mania this week, the children decorated biscuits. We hope they let you have a little taste!

This week we have also been preparing some additions to the happiness box which the school will be sending to a local care home. Team 1 made some beautiful Christmas decorations to cheer up the residents, and we talked as a class about kindness and the impact of helping others to feel happy.

Pictures of our activities and learning are posted regularly on Twitter, so head to @HMillSchool to keep up to date with the superstars' activities. You can even tag us so we can see what you have been doing at home!

Have a super weekend. We are really looking forward to a fun last week of term!
