What a lovely week! 

In English this week, we have been looking at contractions and how we use apostrophes to connect two words. We then experimented with using these in sentences. The children have worked so hard at these, however, it is very tricky so would be great if they could be practiced at home. We have started looking at writing an into the woods poem to talk about Little Reds first adventure into the woods to find the last wolf. 

In maths, we have started time, which has been so tricky! The children have worked so hard at this and have been trying to tell the time throughout the day. We have introduced that you can use fractions and your 5 times tables to help you with your time. 

This week, we started Sikism in our afternoon RE lessons and the children have learnt about Guru Nanak and why he is a significant person in this religion. They have been writing fact files about him and important events that happened in his life.
