A fantastic final week of half term!

We have been very busy finishing their English writing. We were so excited to find out that our final write would be to create our own fantasy story based on the Stone Age boy. After making our own plans and using our partner to generate different ideas, we ensured that our writing included all our skills that we have been working on.

In science we have been further exploring rocks and investigated 3 different soils. We learnt that not all soil is the same and found out which soil absorbed the most water using a practical investigation. After that we presented our results in a table, explained what we did to make a fair test and then wrote our own conclusions.

In french, we have absolutely loved learning some new animals names! We have developed our knowledge of animal names by incorporating them into a sentences. Then we had a difficult decisions had to choice which animals were our favourites.

During our Geography learning we completed a retrieval activity by creating a map of the UK. We tested our knowledge of countries, capital cities, surrounding seas, familiar cities and coasts. Our atlas helped a lot!
