What a fantastic first week back!

During computing we explored what the term ‘algorithm’ meant. We used our knowledge and followed a set of algorithms on an ipad to create our friend ‘Sid’ the snail. We couldn’t believe that Sid’s tail lit up at the end!

In our english lessons we have begun our new text… Winters Child. Within lessons we have been focusing on applying our phonetic knowledge to spell words in our new text correctly. We have extended our vocabulary by learning what a snowdrift, icicle and fir tree is. By incorporating prepositions, subordination and adjectives we created fantastic list poems.

In RE we have moved on to learning about the Christian faith. Using a bible from our reading corner we created questions that interested us to research. We couldn’t believe that over 5 billion copies have been sold!

Please ensure that children continue to read daily at home and practice their times tables.
