What another busy week we have had in Team 4!

In English this week, we planned, wrote and then edited our non-chronological reports all about our chosen animal. The children produced some wonderful pieces of writing and I learnt a lot about all of the different animals! Once the children had written their reports, they then spent time identifying errors or changes they wanted to make and made them in their purple pens.

In maths, the class continued exploring the column method to add two four-digit numbers or subtract them. They then applied this learning to range of word problems and real life scenarios. They then explored the bus stop method to divide and practised diving a three-digit number by a single-digit number.

In afternoon learning, the class learnt all about how to stay safe online in computing, in DT they continued designing and making their very own pockets and in myHappymind the class continued practising their breathing techniques to help them manage their emotions.

A couple of reminders for next week:

1. We are away on our residential Monday-Wednesday. Please refer to the previous letters sent out for kit lists etc.
2. On Thursday, the class will be completing PE as normal so please ensure your child comes in to school in their PE kit on this day.
3. Reading books will be swapped on Friday this week so please ensure they are brought into school on this day.

We are very excited about our residential! Only two more sleeps to go Team 4!
