Team 5 w/b 10.6.19

This week, Team 5 have been working hard on our biographies about Chris Hadfield.  We’ve finished reading his book The Darkest Dark and have been busy researching the different stages of his life and career.  We then gave presentations to the rest of the class on different sections, then finally we used our notes to write our biographies. 

We’ve also started our new book The Paperbag Prince.  We began this new topic by watching some very emotive videos about plastics pollution.  We then discussed which everyday items we use that have plastic in them, then decided which ones we could or couldn’t do without.  Finally, we had a debate about the statement:  ‘Team 5 pupils should not use plastics’.  We made some excellent points that built respectfully on what others had said before.
