Team 5 WB 10.10.22
Date: 14th Oct 2022 @ 6:05pm
This week in Team 5, we had the excitement of a drama workshop. The children enjoyed being creative and building their confidence through performing, acting and posing collaboratively.
In maths, we have been focusing on rounding large numbers. The children did a review of all their learning so far and we are all extremely proud of their efforts. Well done Team 5.
In Science, the children did cross-curricular learning by linking their work to our class story, Queen of the Falls. We looked at all the forces Annie, our main character, may face when in the barrel going down Niagara Falls. This included water resistance, up thrust, air resistance, gravity and friction.
In English, the children have been writing a diary entry in first person, as if they were Annie. They have been using an excellent range of description and thinking about how she would be feeling at that time.
During Art and Design this week, we were very excited to be able to draw and paint our ‘safe place’ the children were very creative and enjoyed talking about what makes them feel safe and happy. They used a range of materials to express their ideas and enjoyed a relaxing and calm environment to complete this task.
Thank you for all your efforts towards parents evening this week, we are extremely proud of how all the children have settled in Team 5 and their efforts towards learning. Have a lovely weekend.
