Team 5 WB 12.2.24

What a productive half term we have had Team 5!

We started a new unit in English this week. To set the context of the book we have been reading and learning about the Norse Gods. Some of the children found some of the characters very familiar and we had some super discussions about Thor, Odin and Loki.

The children had some time to recap their knowledge about the Anglo Saxons in history. They combined their history knowledge with computing knowledge to edit and share their fabulous PowerPoint presentations.

In maths we have learned about how to add fractions with different denominators. This is something we will continue after half term.

On Thursday, we had a visit from Cheshire Fire Service. We watched a video about potential fire hazards in the home and sensible precautions. We also learned about what to do in an emergency.

A huge well done to all of the children for completing a long and busy half term. We hope that you enjoy a good rest and we look forward to welcoming you back on the 26^th February.
