Team 5 w/b 14.1.19

This week, Team 5 have learned first hand about air resistance!  In pairs, we held onto a large, flat target board, then ran across the playground with it.  We found that the flatter we kept it, the stronger the air resistance.  We also learned about different types of mechanisms and how they can either change or increase the force that is input into them.  

In RE, we wrote cinquains about God to enter into an RE competition, and in Maths we learned some new methods for mentally calculating different multiplications.  

We loved our whole-class Guided Reading book - 'The Tear Thief' by Carol Ann Duffy.  A few eagle-eyed people spotted that she's also the author of our whole-class writing-focused text, 'The Lost Happy Endings'.
