Team 5 w/b 16.9.19
Date: 20th Sep 2019 @ 3:35pm
This week in Team 5, we have been very busy! In our SPaG lessons, we’ve practised using apostrophes for contractions and learned about different types of sentences, including simple, compound and complex. We’ve also look at some spellings for homophones and the suffix ful.
We imagined ourselves at the bottom of Niagara Falls, watching a barrel tumble over the side and plummeting into the clouds of mist below. We thought of lots of descriptions to help our readers imagine the scene, then wrote them down. We’ve also been practising our proofreading and editing.
In Maths, we’ve been learning about numbers up to 100,000, including writing and partitioning them in different ways. We’ve also started looking at how many 1s, 10s, 100s, 1000s etc can be found in groups in larger numbers.
In RE, we examined some artefacts linked to our new topic of Judaism then developed our artistic skills by sketching them.
Have a wonderful weekend!
