Welcome to another Team 5 blog.

We started the week with a fabulous visit from Dr Diane Davies – the UK’s only specialist in Maya archaeology. She was fantastic and the children learned so much about Maya civilization. Children made their own Maya calendar, got hands on with some artefacts, learned about a new number system and much more! Some children told me it was their best day at school ever!

Later in the week, we had a topical discussion about whether a school is just a building. In English we wrote some descriptive pieces about standing at Niagara Falls and in maths we looked at patterns in numbers and ascending and descending order.
