Team 5 w/b 19.11.18

This week we have loved taking part in a variety of activities.

On Tuesday, we joined in with the rest of the school for our very first whole-school circle time.  Children from different teams gathered in groups to discuss what we thought about playtimes.  We talked about the equipment, games and behaviour, what we liked and what we wanted to change or adapt.

On Wednesday, Team 5 headed to the cinema to watch 'Captain Underpants'.  We all loved it!  There was a lot of excitement over who would be able to read one of the class' copies of the series after we got back!

On Thursday, we started writing a precis of the story of Moses.  We ordered the key events of the story, then thought of fronted time, place and emotion adverbials that we could use to begin our sentences.  Since it was a precis, we had to curb our instincts to add lots of detail and description!  To make things a bit more challenging, Mr Thomas asked us to write it in the present tense, which sounds a lot easier than it actually proved to be!

On Friday, we found out that some of our ideas from the whole-school circle time had been adopted.  Team 5 were especially excited about now being able to choose a friend to take into the woodlands area at play and lunch!
