Team 5 w/b 23.4.18

On Monday, Team 5 wrote a paragraph about an emotional scene, based on a book called “The Hunter” and it included:  relative clauses, adverbs for possibility, frequency and modal verbs.  Team 5 also read a fictional text, which was about pirates, and we had discussed the questions together.  The skill which we used was inference.  Throughout the week, we focused on using adverbs for possibility, modal verbs and adverbs for frequency.  Mr Thomas said that we produced some of our best writing so far this year!

In Maths, we have been focusing on fractions, including converting mixed numbers to improper fractions and vice-versa.  In Science, we used compasses to draw the geocenbtric model of the solar system, and we invented acrostic poems to record the order of the planets.
