Team 5 WB 20.3.23

In Team 5 this week the children have been busy yet again!

On Monday, Mrs Caroe helped the children to take the next step in constructing their space buggies. As well as a range of technical skills, the children are also working of resilience, turn taking and commitment to their learning. We are sure they will be very proud of their work when we complete it.

In history this week, we have learned about how and where the Vikings came from. This was introduced on Tuesday and then developed further in a practical lesson on Wednesday in which the children took part in an re-enactment of arriving in England on a longship. After this they practised writing in Viking runes with chalk on the playground and they found spears (sticks) in the woodland and practised their target skills. Children completed research on the some key areas of Viking life using the laptops, before finally creating an information booklet for their topic books.

Next week, we are looking forward to seeing some of our classmates have a go at an audition for Horn’s Mill’s Got Talent as well as our trip to the Easter Journey.
