What a wonderful week for Team 5!
Well, the residential was a huge success and we were so lucky with the weather. The children did so much! As we sat eating our packed lunch on Tuesday there was a lot of debate about what had been best bit. Climbing, archery, kayaking, paddle boarding, sleeping and jumping in the lake were all popular answers.
We would like to say a huge well done to all of the children for their superb attitudes throughout. They represented Horn’s Mill beautifully and we all had a lot of fun.
It was tough to return to classroom routines for the latter half of the week, especially in the heat! However, we have made some good progress with our work on fractions and completed our story editing in English. On Thursday we enjoyed listening to the poetry competition finalists – a big well done to the Year 5’s who got up onto the stage. Today, we said goodbye to Miss Hill who has been the student teacher with Team 5.
We hope everyone enjoys a restful weekend.
