Team 5 WB 27.3.23

The children in Team 5 returned to class after the half term very well.

We started the week with a No Outsiders assembly in which we learned about a little girl who is a record breaking puddle jumper! This made us think about how we make ourselves feel proud and how we should believe in ourselves.

Team 5 have needed that positive attitude in our maths learning. We have started a unit on fractions and the children have learned about mixed numbers, improper fractions and equivalent fractions already this week!

In English, we have been making predictions about a new class text: The Darkest Dark. The children think it might be about a boy who is scared of the dark but loves learning about space.

Of course it has been World Book Day today and the costumes have been incredible! Each class had a different teacher to read to them. Team 5, who had Miss Steen, heard a selection of poems and Miss Steen has suggested that the children come and share more of these with their buddies next week!
