team 5 w/b 30/1/17

Happy Chinese New Year! As I'm sure many of the children will have told you, on Monday we celebrated Chinese New Year. Thank you to those parent who came to watch our Chinese Dance performances in the afternoon, the children worked really hard and learnt a lot about Chinese celebrations and culture.

This week, team 5 have been planning and writing their own adventure stories after 3 weeks studying the genre. We were very lucky to have some team 3 pupils take time out of their Wednesday afternoon to watch us perform our stories; team 5 even created their own scenery to help create an atmosphere for the story session.

Maths this week has centered around fractions with Mrs Raynor and statistics with Mrs Johnson, which we will continue next week, linking to the data collected through a recent science experiement involving forces.
