Team 5 WB 31.1.21

Thankfully this week, we have had all our lovely class together again! It was fantastic to have everyone back in and well.

We have been focusing on lots of new areas this week. In our PHSE topics we have discussed healthy friendships and what the differences are between an online and an off line friendship. We have also had our first lesson learning about money. We explored interest rates and looking at the role of the bank.

In English, we have been working on our final piece for our ‘Queen of the Falls’ unit and in maths we have started to look at multiplication and division.

For reading, we have been looking at Children’s classics and the class have loved looking at extracts from The Wind in the Willows, Carrie’s War and the Railway Children.

On Friday, we enjoyed taking part in the NSPCC Times Tables Rockstars competition and we are very proud of all of the children's efforts. Some members of the class had achieved scores that were in the top 3 of the school - so we were very excited about that. Keep it up Team 5!

We are pleased to say that swimming will resume this week as will after school clubs.
