Team 5: w/b 4.7.16

This week Team 5 were off to an exciting start! They met their pre-school (soon to be reception) buddies for the first time on Monday afternoon. The children played together really well and it was wonderful to see how thoughtful and supportive Team 5 were being with the younger children. They all got on well and I can tell that the partnerships are going to be successful for the next academic year!

In English, we wrote our Hot Task for persuasive writing. The theme of the writing was to persuade their buddy not to worry in September and that Horn's Mill is a lovely place to learn. The children have also written their Hot Tasks up in neat, ready to be stuck into their Learning Journey's at the start of next year.

We also had Transition Day on the Thursday. Team 5 came back to me on the Friday with glowing reports of their time as Team 6: they really enjoyed their day and are looking forwards to next year. Myself and the rest of the teaching staff all have high expectations for next year, simply based on Team 5's excellent attitude. They are going to make fantastic role models for the rest of the school.
