Team 5 WB 4.7.22

The weeks are whizzing by now and we are nearly at summer! This week was another busy one for Team 5.

On Monday we produced some artwork based on our knowledge of the solar system. The children used soft pastels to create textured planets and also considered shape and value to ensure that their planets looked spherical.

In maths this week our focus has been on adding fractions we have been looking at how to add fractions with different denominators and what steps are involved to do this successfully.

In English we have been focusing on adverbial phrases and relative clauses. The children enjoyed their work about Neil Armstrong and have written some facts about him and his trip to the moon.

Also this week, we started our new science unit, light. The children worked beautifully in small teams to create an educational video about light and how we see.
