Team 5 WB 5.1.22

It has been fantastic to see Team 5 back again after their Christmas holidays. We have been hearing lots of happy stories about the Christmas break and it was great to share some of the pictures and toys in Mouse Mania today.

This week, we have been straight back to it!

In our maths lessons we have been learning how to make estimates to get an approximate answer and in English, we have been writing a recount. For reading, our focus has been summarising and we have used a video clip to create our own summary.

The children particularly enjoyed science this week in which we created parachutes. We had to carefully consider which components would work together to create the most efficient parachute. Team 5 also told us that they enjoyed learning about PowerPoint in their computing lessons. This is a really great program and it was incredible to see how quickly the children became confident with navigating it. We will continue to build on these skills in the coming weeks.
