Team 5 w/b 6.2.17

This week, everyone at Hornsmill learnt about how to stay safe on the internet; a message that becomes all the more important as children get older and begin to use the internet more independently. In Team 5, we talked about how not all information we read on the internet is reliable, protecting personal information and keeping ourselves safe when online. The children had some brilliant ideas on how to make their home Wifi as safe as possible and really impressed me with their knowledge. We thought about the Safer Internet Day Slogan; Be the Change: Unite for a Better Internet, and talked about how unkind comments through social media have effected us and how they might make other people feel. I was really proud of how mature and respectful Team 5 were throughout these discussions. We then had lots of fun putting together some Imovies to promote safe and responsible use of the internet which were shared in a whole school assembly.
Keep staying safe online Team 5! Well done!
