Team 5: w/b 6.6.16

This week had a science theme across the school. Our focus on Team 5 was 'Animals, Including Humans', specifically focussing upon the human life cycle.

The children expertly combined skills they have learnt in English towards writing an explanation text, then writing a précis for each of their paragraphs before finally transferring their writing onto an information leaflet. We also spent a large amount of time on editing and improving our writing.

In Maths, linked to science, we estimated and then measured our height, before comparing this to a graph which predicts how tall you may become in future years.

We also had a few visitors throughout the week, providing the children with opportunities to learn about first aid, the milk industry and watch a range of experiments that they can try at home.

Overall it was a brilliant, informative week, with the added bonus of an exciting sports day on the Thursday!
