Team 5 WB 6.9.21

Team 5 have all demonstrated maturity and an excellent attitude to learning since returning to school this term. 

This week the children have recapped some punctuation skills and sentence types in English. On Friday, they applied their learning in some writing to retell a short film called The Dangle. It’s a fun short film and it certainly captured our imagination.

We have started our new geography topic by looking at the location of states and cities in North America. We have looked at photographs and listened to sound clips to find out more about some of the physical and human features.

In maths, we have been learning about the value of digits in larger numbers. At the start of each lesson we continue to complete “check it’s” that require children to quickly recall strategies from previously taught concepts. 

The highlight of the week has undoubtedly been lunchtimes where our super Team 5 children have met their new reception buddies. They have demonstrated such consideration and care for our little Millers and we have really enjoyed watching them play so beautifully. 

Well done Team 5, a super start to the year.
