Team 5 w/b 7.11.17

Team 5 dove straight back into our work this week after a relaxing half term. We've been carefully crafting stories based on our class text FArTHER, and have blown Mr Thomas away with the sophistication of some of our ideas and language. There are several budding authors quietly developing in team 5!

In Maths, we have been travelling back and forth across zero as we learned about negative numbers and how they link to temperature. Roman numerals have also been tackled, as well as number lines for numbers up to 1 million.

In Science, we learned about different methods of seed dispersal, and were astonished to discover that you can grow plants not only from seeds, but from other plants! To test this, we've cut the tops off 4 carrots and will try to persuade them to grow into new carrot plants. We'll keep you all updated with the results!

Next week's Mouse Mania is...."Do What You Want To Do"....(Mr Thomas thinks this means free choice)...
