Team 5 wb 7.9.20

Team 5 have had an absolutely amazing first full week back in school.  We've been using dienes blocks and counters to investigate numbers up to 10,000 and we've been recapping previous learning on exchanging between place value columns.  

In English, we wrote some very persuasive letters to Mr Thomas asking for different classroom jobs roles.  We've also been writing different kinds of sentences based on an Oscar-winning short animation called 'Soar' as well as plugging some SPaG gaps.  

We're loving our class novel, Holes, and are well into the thick of the story.  Some of the characters' actions have really shocked us!  One member of Team 5 was enjoying the book so much that they went off and watched the film!  We've sworn them to secrecy so they don't give away the rest of the story.
