Team 5 w/b 8.10.18

This week we have been working on adding and subtracting powers of 10 mentally, with some exchanging thrown in to make things more challenging.  We've been working hard on this in our morning work and are very proud of the progress we've been making.

In Reading, we have learned about the ancient saga of Beowulf.  Some of us have made 'roles on the wall' to help us understand Grendel and practise finding descriptions of him in the story.  We have all written a precis of the story with a focus on paragraphing.  Some of the summaries are almost as exciting as the original!  

Next week's Mouse Mania is electronics.
