Team 5 W/B 9.1.17

Happy New Year everyone!

Both Mrs Raynor and I hope that everyone had an enjoyable Christmas break and are very excited to welcome everyone back to Team 5 this week.  We had an exciting start to the new term with a mysterious request to locate a missing box for Mrs Wyatt; this lead us on a treasure hunt around the school grounds before the box in question turned out to be hidden in our very own classroom!  The whole class worked brilliantly in their teams to solve the clues and locate the missing box- Go Team 5!!

Our treasure hunt lead into our English learning based around a new story- Adventure at Sandy Cove.  We have explored the story in different ways throughout the week, engaging enthusiastically in drama activities that allowed the class to think about the characters in greater depth.

We have also thought about our french knowledge this week and what we would like to learn next. As a class, Team 5 have decided they would like to know more conversational french so that they can talk to their peers.  The plan is to write letters which can be sent to our French partner-school at the end of term; if anyone has any french expertise and could come and help us on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon, please get in touch with me ASAP.
