Team 6 - 3.3.20
Date: 6th Mar 2020 @ 6:19pm
How is it March already? Time flies!
We've had a brilliant week in Team 6 - as usual it's been jam packed! In English this week we have started our new unit based on the book 'The Selfish Giant'. We have been focusing on learning about using passive voice in our writing.
In Maths, we have continued with our learning on percentages. We now know how to find percentages of amounts and are able to convert percentages, fractions and decimals. Team 6 have been ace and are working really hard in our Maths sessions.
In SPaG revision this week we have been recapping different word classes and making sure that we understand what each word class does and are able to identify each word class in a sentence. See if your child can tell you what a determiner, noun, adjective, verb, adverb and preposition are!
Poetry was our theme across Reading this week. We enjoyed poems from Margaret Atwood and Michael Rosen and finished the week with a song. Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen was a particular favourite this week. Team 6 put on their best performances (Michael Rosen style) when reading.
World Book Day was great and there were so many fantastic outfits! Team 6 helped set up our World Book Day book shop for children across the school to come and choose a book.
Have a lovely weekend and I will see you on Monday.
