Team 6 wb 11.3.24
Date: 17th Mar 2024 @ 12:32pm
It has been another busy, challenging and fun week in Team 6 - so much so that we didn't have any time for our usual Blog writers on Friday afternoon, as we went to Hillside Primary School to watch an internet safety performance called 'SnapTrap'. This was an informative and thought-provoking drama performance looking at the use of social media apps and the reason why they have age ratings of 13+ (whatsapp is now 16+). At home, please ask your children about what they learned and how they can keep themselves safe online. We also discussed whether they should be using some of the social media apps that they have. We also had a visit from PCSO Neil earlier in the week who also spoke about the issues surrounding social media apps and how they can be unsafe to use.
Across the week, we have been working on our measurement conversions in Maths, exploring the subjunctive form in English and taking part in some drama activities to fully understand the thoughts, feelings and actions of the people in our class text 'Shackleton's Journey'. We have also been continuing with our current class read 'Wonder' and exploring this within whole class reading lessons.
It was lovely to speak to you all about your child's progress at parents' evening this week - they have all grown so much since September and it was wonderful to celebrate some of their accomplishments.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone.
