Team 6: wb 18.11.24

This week in Year 6 we have been extremely busy and have had a great week.

We have started our Christmas singing in preparation for our carol concert and have given out parts for the speaking bits. 

In P.E this week, we did teamwork skills and played a game. The game we played was where there were hoops around the playground and someone shouted out a number and we had to jump into the hoop with that many people in it. We had to work on our cooperation skills and leadership skills as we led the games.

In English, we have started our new unit ‘the windrush generation' and have been learning about how people ended up in the Caribbean islands in tye 1600s because of the slave trade. In our writing, we learned about parenthesis and had a go at using it in sentences. 

In Maths, we have been adding, subtracting and multiplying fractions, which is really tricky but has been fun!
