Team 6 have had another busy and productive week. The children are making good progress with their May Pole dancing; the children’s cooperation and commitment skills are a credit to them and we are enjoying getting out in the sunshine for extra practise when we can.
In Science this week the children have been applying their persuasive writing skills through composing a letter to Mrs Wyatt in response to her banning our circuit building equipment. Children explained how important it is to use hands on resources in science, especially when learning about circuits and they demonstrated excellent knowledge about electrical safety. I was thrilled with the quality of writing that was produced and Mrs Wyatt was certainly convinced.
In English we have been exploring the setting for our new text – King Kong. Children learned about New York in the 1930s through studying photos, asking questions and seeking information with the iPads.
I must also tell you how the children have really wowed us with their enthusiasm for a bit of algebra in our maths lessons! It was fantastic to see the children really applying positive attitudes to their learning and the children have every right to be feeling proud of their achievements. Well done Team 6.
