Team 6 wb 20.11.23

In Team 6 this week, we have been learning about how doing different poses effects our pulse in Science. We made a table and took our resting pulse and compared it to after we had held different poses for 1 minute.

In English, we have been finishing our stories based on our english class text “star of fear star of hope” using all the skills we have learnt over this unit.

In whole class reading we have been carrying on our class book “room thirteen” a horror by Robert Swindells and in our reading lessons our theme this week has been “inspirational women” which we have all really enjoyed. 

In maths, we have been learning about our new unit; fractions. We have been answering questions in our textbooks and journaling in our maths books to show how to simplify fractions. 

In art we have been making silouette portraits using the graphite transfer method and then painting over them in different shades of grey acrylic paints. This was part of our inspirational people projects. 

In french we have been learning about the French words for different people in our families and how to pronounce them. We have learnt about how some words are feminine and some words are masculine. We spoke to each other using French using J'ai and Je n'ai pa's.... (I have and I have not) to describe the people with have in our families. 

We finished the week with some Lindy Hop with Jeni for Mouse Mania which was great fun!
