Hi everyone, welcome to our blog. We hope you enjoy hearing about our fantastic week!
Last Monday was European languages day. We moved around ks2 and learnt various languages including Welsh, Romanian, Spanish and French. When we learnt French, we made our own mini cafe with real food with Mrs Jobber. We ate crepes' and pain au chocolate! In our Romanian lesson, we had Mrs Weeks and we learnt a lot of Romanian words and even listened to a Romanian song! We really enjoyed European Languages Day.
In the middle of the week, we had a Geography quiz and we labelled a map with all the continents and oceans. Some of us even made a colour key to show the make the map clearer. We looked at where the equator is across the world map and labelled the northern and southern hemispheres.
In maths, we learned how to compare different numbers and today we looked at number patterns and how to create a rule for the next number in a sequence.
On Thursday, we had to come in to school dressed as rockstars because a company called Rock Kidz came in and did a concert with flashing lights. The music was really loud and we had inflatable guitars and microphones and our teachers wore wigs that were made of tinsel!! We had a great day and will try and remember what they taught us… ‘YASBA’ You Are Awesome So Be Awesome.
Lastly, we got to speak to Jennifer Killick on zoom. Jennifer is the author of our class read ‘Crater Lake’. It was really exciting to get to speak to her and ask questions about her books and how to become an author. We played a game with her that is actually in the book!
Thank you for reading our blog, hope you have a nice day
