This week in T6, we have been simplifying and comparing fractions in maths.
In English we have started writing our poetry for our Christmas books this year. We have done a cinquain poem and a kenning poem so far.
In Science we have been carrying on our learning about the heart. This week for science we represented our blood out of foods like, honey cheerios, beans, rice, salt, mini marshmallows, and red food dye to help us understand what makes up our blood.
In History we planned a double page spread of “the impact of WW2 on the UK". After we had finished our planning we started the double page spread. We used pictures of propaganda, damaged cities after the blitz, RAF planes flying in the sky, women’s land army and evacuees.
In spelling we were looking at words ending in “ence” and changing them back to the root word.
In Reading this week, our theme has been 'Sportspeople' and we have read about Mohammed Ali, Simone Biles and the Williams sisters. We have also been answering questions about our class book “room thirteen” by Robert Swindells.
Have a lovely weekend.
