Team 6: wk b 14.10.24

In Team 6 this week on Monday we had a visit from Emma who told us all about WWII. We learned about rationing, the Women’s Land Army and looked at lots of artefacts and propaganda posters. We really enjoyed the day and being hands on with the artefacts that Emma brought in. 

In Maths this week we learnt about multiples and factors. We are taking home some questions this weekend to practise this learning, which needs to be brought in on Monday. 

In English we have been focusing on our main book Star of Fear, Star of Hope. We have been writing a recount of a section of the story where the two characters have had an argument. We are aiming to use direct speech in our story recounts to get across the mood of the characters. 

During P.E. this week, we worked on teamwork and leadership skills by playing hide the object, and in Art we have started our new unit about the Windrush Generation.
