What a busy final week of the half term we have had!
In our afternoon learning, we learned about iMovie and tried to start capturing pictures and videos. In our No Outsider’s lesson we learned about treating others with respect and we did a circle time about teamwork. We also learned about the significance of the Holi festival in RE ahead of our colour run. Unfortunately it was postponed because of the rain but we hope that there will be another opportunity to do this.
In our English learning this week, we mapped out Annie Edson Taylor’s journey in her barrel towards Niagara Falls. We then transferred these ideas into a first person recount and applied our paragraphing, fronted adverbial and conjunction skills. We have had a big focus on the spelling of: embarrassed, cottage, strength, crowd and butterflies. After half term we will complete the reading of the class book and prepare ourselves for some diary entry writing to retell the story.
In our maths lessons, we continued exploring subtraction. One thing we found challenging was when we wanted to rename several times in the same equation.
Have a wonderful half term Team 5!
