WB 9th Sept Team 1

Hello!

Another great week for Team 1 this week. We have been practising our listening skills when we have learning time on the carpet and the children know it is important to listen to their teachers when they are talking. We are pleased with the progress they have made and are praising the children when they listen and do not talk over others. We will continue with this focus over the next few weeks to ensure that the children benefit from a calm learning environment.

In English, we have started a new book called 'Lost and Found'. It is about a penguin who strays from home and gets lost. We have explored how the penguin might be feeling and what he may be thinking or saying.

In Maths, we have be learning about what we may add to 5 to make a new number. We have used STEM sentences such as 5 and 2 make 7. We looked at different ways that numbers can be represented such as using fingers, dice and dominoes. We will move to counting to 10 next week.

If possible, please could you help speed up our morning routines by pre-ordering your child's lunch at home.
