Reception - 19.03.18

Date: 23rd Mar 2018 @ 5:11pm

This week has been very exciting in Reception. We have been brilliant at rehearsing for our class assembly, learning our new dance, the spring poem and the chick song. We really hope you enjoyed it. All of our Teachers are very proud of us at how far we have all grown in confidence.

We have continued with our story Hattie Peck, The Journey Home and we have been applying our phonics skills into our writing. We have been writing about what Hattie would take on her journey with her family.

In maths this week, we have been measuring a lot of different objects and items. We found some giant animal footprints and took them around the school to see if they were bigger than some objects. We used our mathematical language to describe them as 'taller and shorter' than each object we found. We also had fun measuring other objects like Mrs Butters' foot. We compared our feet too!

Well done to all of Reception for their fantastic efforts in the class assembly. We really are so proud!
