Reception - 30.4.18

Date: 4th May 2018 @ 2:42pm

This week in Reception we have been continuing to retell our story Jack and the Beanstalk. We have been learning how to use descriptive language and have described the Giant's Castle, some of our favourite descriptions were... 'The squeaky stairs', 'The extremely big door' and 'The humongous knife and fork.' The children have finished learning the story and have started to innovate them. They have enjoyed changing the characters in the story to make it their own. We have had some brilliant and interesting characters.

In maths this week, we have been learning how to share objects using puppets and sharing beanbags between hoops. Some of us have learned how to estimate accurately using a variety of objects and some of us have been consolidating our addition and subtraction skills. We have been working really hard and all of the adults have been very impressed.

We hope you all have a lovely long weekend and enjoy the sunshine.

Mrs Jobber and Miss Partington.
