Reception - The Gingerbread Man

Date: 12th Oct 2018 @ 2:49pm

Good Afternoon,

This week we have had a visit from a mysterious creature! We entered our classroom after the Daily Mile to find a trail of flour with different ingredients along the way. At the end of the trail, we found a letter and inside was a recipe to bake some gingerbread men... so we did! We predicted who we thought might have been in our classroom and were given lots of different clues over the week. In the end we all thought it must have been The Gingerbread Man!!

During our maths sessions we have been continuing to recognise the Numicon pieces by the different colours and sizes. We used our knowledge of these pieces to order 2/3 different shapes to find the smallest, biggest and the 'inbetween one'.

This week in our learning time we have been looking at King's and Queen's as the children took an interest in this the week before. We have been learning about the Queen of our country, where she leaves and what she wears. The children have applied this theme to their learning time creating crowns and building castles and palaces.

Have a fanastic weekend. Don't forget our Delamere trip on Monday!
