Good Afternoon,

This week in English we have continued to read the story 'I'm going to eat this ant'. We read about the anteater and how he was so tired of just eating ants, so he decided to eat the ants with other things. As we were reading the story, we realised that everything he was eating the ants with began with a 's' sound. We drew pictures, wrote words and played initial sound games all linked to the items beginning with a 's'. We then wrote our own letters to the anteaters telling him about food that began with other different sounds.

During afternoon learning we have been looking at the season 'Winter'. We have discussed key features of winter and how it is a bit different from Autumn. We talked about what we should wear during the Winter and went on a Winter walk outside, visiting 'George' the tree to see how much he had changed.

Have a great weekend,

Miss Steen
