What a week! You know you are in a great school when the headteacher books a whole day of bouncy castles on a Monday!

Team 1 had an absolutely super time on the bouncy castles and obstacle course. Not only did they have fun, but their behaviour was exemplary, and all of the children followed safety advice and took turns beautifully. I was very impressed, superstars!

On Wednesday we took part in the KS1 sports day and picnic on the field. The children had an absolutely wonderful time despite the soggy weather, and put in their greatest efforts. There was a high level of sportsmanship and showing of support for other teams. Well done!

Between all the sporting fun, we even managed to fit in a good amount of learning. The children have been writing from the point of view of different characters in our book, ‘Goldilocks and Just the One Bear’. The children are putting some great detail into their writing.

In maths, the children have blown me away with their learning on multiplication this week. We have been making and identifying ‘equal’ and ‘unequal’ groups, moving onto adding groups using our knowledge of counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. Keep practising!

Our week ended on another high note with a Zoom call from Sweden, catching up with BS. It was so very lovely to see him and hear about his life over there. The class miss having him around, and enjoyed asking him questions about Swedish life.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend, and hopefully a restful one.

Mrs Weeks.
